Somehow my two sons, ages 6 and 8, have started to creep back into the parental bed. They come in at 2 or 3 when nobody is willing to put up a fight to send them back to their beds.
Any suggestions for how to deal with this (and we are not above chaining them to their beds, but only after exploring a few other options).
Thanks!

Zombies in the closet?
Snakes in a bed?
Apart from strapping them to their beds (which is frowned upon in most parenting circles), I think your best option is to put up the fight.
I'd talk to them before putting them to bed, and warn them that sleeping in your bed is no longer acceptable.
Unless Freddy Krueger really is hiding in their closet. Then it's okay. I guess.
First, I didn't actually comment on my own blog (until now!).
Second, regarding putting up a fight. I agree but it is a real hassle. My wife caves easily, so my fighting is pretty useless. I tried, "Go to sleep or I'll come hunt you down" but that didn't help much in the sleeping department.
Thanks for the thought.
